Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: June 20, 2025. This document outlines the terms and conditions governing refunds, cancellations, and redemption disputes for all transactions conducted on the Gebeya Platform.
1. General Provisions
Gebeya operates as an intermediary marketplace connecting Users with third-party Merchants. When you purchase a "Deal" or "Voucher," you are purchasing a right to receive services or goods from a Merchant. Gebeya is not the provider of the Merchant services and is not responsible for the ultimate quality or delivery of said services, except as explicitly stated herein.
2. Refund Eligibility & Timeframes
Standard Refund Window
Unused and unredeemed Vouchers are eligible for a full refund within seven (7) calendar days of purchase, unless the Deal is marked as "Final Sale" or has a shorter promotional window.
Expiration Policy
Once a Voucher reaches its expiration date as specified in the Deal Terms, it is strictly non-refundable. Gebeya does not offer credits or extensions for expired Vouchers.
- Partially Used Vouchers: No refunds are issued for partially used vouchers or multi-session packages once the first session has been redeemed.
- Flash Deals: High-discount, time-limited offers are generally non-refundable. Check the "Fine Print" of each deal before purchase.
- Merchant Closure: If a Merchant permanently closes or ceases operations before the Voucher expiration date, Gebeya will issue a full refund to the original payment method or as Platform Credit.
3. Non-Returnable Items & Final Sale
In compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, certain categories of items and services are exempt from our standard refund policy. These items are strictly non-refundable once the purchase is complete or the seal is broken.

As shown above, categories including but not limited to Personal Care, Undergarments, Software, and Perishables are final sale. By completing a transaction for these categories, the User waives their right to a standard 7-day refund.

Refund Destination
Refunds are typically processed back to the original payment method. In certain cases, at the User's request, refunds can be issued as "Gebeya Wallet Credit" for immediate use.

Processing Timelines
Gebeya initiates refunds within 48 business hours of approval. Depending on your financial institution, funds may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account.
6. Fraud, Abuse & Chargebacks
Duplicate Redemption: Attempting to redeem a voucher twice or sharing voucher codes for unauthorized use constitutes fraud. Gebeya reserves the right to permanently ban accounts and pursue legal action for such activities.
Chargeback Policy: Initiation of a credit card chargeback for a valid transaction without first contacting Gebeya Support is considered a violation of our Terms of Service. In the event of a chargeback, the associated account will be suspended pending an investigation.
Promotional Vouchers: Free vouchers, giveaway credits, or referral rewards have zero cash value and are not eligible for refunds.
7. Jurisdiction & Compliance
This policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Gebeya operates. We comply with all local consumer protection regulations. In the event that local law mandates a refund window longer than seven days, Gebeya will adjust eligibility for residents of that jurisdiction accordingly.
Gebeya reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through a notification on the Platform.
