Platform Knowledge Base.
Comprehensive documentation for shoppers and merchants regarding deal mechanics, redemption protocols, and legal compliance.
Gebeya acts as a technology intermediary between independent local merchants and consumers. We provide the infrastructure for merchants to publish promotional deals and for users to secure these offers through either upfront purchase (Vouchers) or digital reservation (Coupons).
Direct Checkout deals require payment on the Gebeya platform to secure a digital Voucher. Redeemable Coupons are promotional codes you save to your account for free and pay the discounted price directly to the merchant upon visit.
Flash Deals are high-velocity, deep-discount offers with strict quantity caps and short expiration windows. These are designed to drive immediate foot traffic for merchants. Due to their promotional nature, they are generally final sale.
Navigate to "My Orders," select the active Voucher, and present the unique QR code or alphanumeric ID to the merchant. The merchant will scan and validate the code through their dashboard. Do not click "Redeem" yourself unless instructed by the merchant staff.
Every merchant undergoes a rigorous KYC (Know Your Business) process, including verification of business licenses, physical location audits, and payment account validation. Verified merchants carry a blue checkmark on their profile.
This is a violation of our Merchant Agreement. Users should immediately report the incident via the support desk with proof of visit. Gebeya will facilitate a full refund and may suspend the merchant pending investigation.
Standard Vouchers are refundable within 7 days of purchase if they remain unredeemed. However, specific categories (Personal Care, Undergarments, Software) and Flash Deals are exempt from this policy as per our Refund & Cancellation terms.
We use PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways and industry-standard AES-256 encryption. Gebeya does not store full credit card numbers or sensitive CVV data on its local servers.
Our ledger system tracks redemption status in real-time. Once a Voucher ID is marked as "Redeemed" in our database, it cannot be used again. Attempting to use a single Voucher multiple times is considered fraudulent activity.
